Bauhaus Tiny Home

The idea of this project was to create a space for a client that uses motifs from any design movement. The space needed to adhere to the needs of this client while clearly displaying an important historic movement within design. I chose the world-renowned tattoo artist, and the former owner of a makeup brand, Kat Von D. The space needed to be functional, moveable, and tiny while displaying the bauhaus and the de stijl styles. The imaginary client, Kat Von D, has expressed that is essential for the design of the home to be functional while implementing the colours, shapes, forms, and asymmetrical balance of the De Stijl movement. The bright colours and geometric forms of the style should be contemporary and not overwhelming, and the furniture should also be coherent with the De Stijl motifs. The overall design will display a functional live / work tiny space with the stylistic features of the De Stijl.
